Ambitious multi-stage media design for the centenary celebration of Germany's world famous tech trade show.
Innovation for all
On the occasion of IFA's centenary trade show in Berlin, the innovation giant revamped their corporate identity.
In collaboration with Ole Tillmann we conceptualized and produced the "100 Years Celebration Film" which opened the gala ceremony and daily panel talks.
Building on this theme, we created a stellar suite of motion design for three stages, designed by UNDPLUS, with multiple LED arrangements and a vibrant new sonic identity.
100 Years Celebration Film
Dynamic animation, bold typo, and uptempo, energetic sound enlivens the mainly archival images which are rhythmically cut and edited to vibrant and contemporary effect to reflect the fast pace of innovation. The film focuses on the technological milestones that IFA has presented over the past 100 years. Beginning with the first radio broadcast and finishing with the theme of digital futures, it culminates in the IFA's claim “Innovation For All." The soundtrack signposts a new era of the IFA and integrates archival snippets from zeitgeist-defining speeches by Einstein and Willy Brandt.
Innovation Stage, Inspiration Stage & Dream Stage
We were responsible for the media design and operation of three stages in which industry stars representing heavyweight brands such as MediaMarkt, HONOR and media group Handelsblatt presented keynotes in quick-fire and deep-dive formats.
Bringing stage design to "live"
To elevate the live brand presentations, we created an extensive suite of motion & sound packaging, such as: intros, outros, lower thirds, transitions, background loops, schedules and countdown. We oversaw all of the camera operations and content which was delivered to producers via our media server and streamed as a live broadcast.
We produced an energetic, contemporary sound packaging for the entire event.
Our soundtrack for the "100 Years Celebration film" opened the daily presentations and panel discussions. We took its rhythmic, melodic and uptempo components and applied them to the other assets such as intros, outros and transitions between speakers. An ambient soundscape, which was looped in between presentations, completed the packaging.

On the occasion of the IFA's centenary trade show in Berlin, the innovation giant revamped their corporate identity in collaboration with Highsnobiety and Creative Director Ole Tillmann.
From this starting point, we developed a stellar suite of motion design for three stages with multiple LED arrangements and a vibrant new sonic identity.
We also produced the "100 Years Celebration Film" which was opening the gala ceremony and daily panel talks.
The trade show was attended by 1,800+ global exhibitors, 187 speakers and 215,000+ visitors from 138 countries. Industry stars representing heavyweight brands such as MediaMarkt, HONOR and media group Handelsblatt presented keynotes in quick-fire and deep-dive formats.
