Futuristic realtime show visuals and stage media design for a virtual event
Audi hosted their ‘Celebration of Progress‘ in early 2021, a gala for the
global launch of their electric-powered Audi e-tron GT.
The virtual event featured talks with brand ambassadors, designers and
special guests, and was enriched with three live-show parts performed
by Janelle Monáe.
The brand ambassadors actor Tom Hardy, designer Stella McCartney, and performer Janelle Monáe reflected on Audi’s visionary pillars of engineering, design and sustainability.
Forward-thinking Engineering
Engineering insights as introduced by Audi's Markus Duesmann.
Sleek design
The design concept as discussed by Marc Lichte, Audi's head of design.
Sustainability
The sustainable influence on the interior design as highlighted by designer Stella McCartney.
Performance
The Audi GT's performance in comparison to a racing car as explained by Formula One driver Nico Rosberg.
The futuristic aesthetic of the live show parts reflected Janelle Monáe's Electric Lady persona.
Our realtime, audio-reactive visuals were triggered by her music using TouchDesigner...
...and were alternated with remixed images of the performer, playing with the stage's architecture.
For the explosive reveal, a multiplex of Janelle Monáes lit the
runway-inspired stage and flanked the car's rotating platform.
