Experience the future of work and collaboration environments.Now. In realtime.
A brand-new tech & innovation cosmos is coming to life next to Munich´s international airport. A campus designed to attract global players, hidden champions, and talented newcomers. With an innovative, representational architecture in a strategically unique location, modular spatial configurations address the individual needs of the modern tech industry and vibrant start up scene.
We came up with a concept to pre-visualize and simulate the campus and its future daily life – beyond common 3D renderings.
Since the architectural development is not yet finalized – and will be tailored to the individual needs of its future tenants – the pre-visualization is flexible and dynamically adaptable for different presentations. For this reason, classic architectural renderings were not an option for the LabCampus project, so we moved the whole production pipeline to Unreal Engine.
We created a surreal environment made up of glass-like boxes that float around the pre-defined buildings, to translate the campus´ brand DNA “Connect”, “Create”, “Collaborate”, into the development process of the building site.
Future offices, interiors and their inhabitants – a lively main square and hospitality options (alongside many more details) – can now be visited in realtime, on a desktop or via VR headset. All architectural models are imported, texturized and shaded to make a realtime experience that can evolve and change on demand.
An additional highlight is the implementation of hyper realistic 3D characters in their natural settings across the campus, which truly elevates the experience and over-arching visualization quality.
LabCampus is 100% the daughter of Flughafen München GmbH. The concrete foundations were laid in 2020 and the first companies plan to move there in 2022.
