Mercedes Benz at IAA Mobility 2025 was a special occasion to flex our spatial skillset – showcasing two highlight films in collaboration with Atelier Markgraph.
Munich’s Apothekenhof hosted a temporary car grill facade: the gateway to the "IMMERSIVE SPACE," comprising of three vast surrounding LED walls and a 360° soundsystem.
CONCEPT AMG GT XX
The highlight film opens with a dynamic 3D sequence establishing speed lines as a key visual element in our motion design system.
They are used for immersive spatial effects...
... and as a graphic mechanism introducing key features and beauty shots of the car.
The film culminates in a driving sequence featuring footage from Mercedes' successful record attempt at the Nardo racetrack in Italy.
CLA Class Highlight Film
For the staging of the new CLA we created a motion design mechanism referencing the car’s red metallic body paint. Gleaming lighting effects and a playful glitter key visual ...
... unite beauty shots, typography and explanatory animations of the cars features. Together, these elements created a truly immersive experience for the audience.

Music Production
For the AMG GT XX, we delivered a striking homage to the spirit of the ’80s TV series such as Miami Vice – amplifying the car`s bold and stylish imagery.
The CLA called for a more uplifting tone – a pop-infused track that evoked the feeling of effortlessly flowing or gliding.
360° Surround Mixing on-site
We mixed on a d&b Soundscape soundsystem with an array of 50 speakers.
Using the new standalone software Create.Control allowed us to design, manipulate, and dynamically control up to 64 individual sound objects in space and time.

A three-day mix session was carried out in a one-to-one test setup in Stuttgart, producing the majority of the rough mix. White sheets were used to mark the positions of the LED walls.

With the help of numbered divisions on sheets and control screens, we were able to precisely map and track the positions and movements of instruments and sound effects associated to the visual content in space.

The final mix was delivered on-site in Munich, creating a truly immersive sound experience.
The spatial audio not only enhanced the visual storytelling but also utilized sound effects to subtly direct the visitors' attention, enriching their overall engagement.
