Translating the logic of sustainability through the emotion of touch technology. Now our immersive instruments support the transmission of energy solutions.
EEF Erneuerbare Energien Fabrik GmbH focuses on hybrid energy systems, a concept that involves complex energy configurations and data contained within a power grid.
To help them explain this to clients in an intuitive way, we designed and built an interactive trade fair model – the latest adaptation of our immersive instruments Commune S Table. It showcases our physical-digital expertise, where all UI design, 3D-printed elements, and technical integration were completed in-house within two months.

User journey
The image displayed on the table represents a real-life hybrid park in northern Germany that receives energy from photovoltaics, wind power, battery storage, and hydrogen technology. The tactile interaction and immediate visual feedback enhances the users ability to grasp EEF's sustainability concepts.

Clients place 3D-printed physical objects such as wind turbines, solar panels, buildings, batteries, and hydrogen converters on top of the virtual scene.
The object is detected and instantly visualises how energy flows, where surplus is stored, and how different setups perform across day and night cycles.
